DO YOU ACCEPT PDF FILES?

Our preferred file format is a properly created PDF file. If you have any questions about how to create a PDF file from the program you are using, please contact Printing and Mailing Services.

DO YOU ACCEPT OTHER FILE FORMATS?

Yes, we can use many different file formats, but most programs now will allow you to create a high-resolution PDF file, which is our preferred file format. We do accept files from InDesign, QuarkXPress, Photoshop, Illustrator and more. Please understand that we may have to charge a file processing fee when handling these unique file formats.

CAN I SEND YOU FILES ON A CD or FLASH DRIVE?

We are happy to receive files that have been written to a CD disc or copied to a Flash drive. To send them to us, simply use the University’s campus mail system and address your envelope to PRINTING SERVICES along with the name of the person you are working with here at Printing and Mailing.

CAN I SEND MY FILES TO YOU THROUGH DROPBOX?

Yes, DropBox file sharing is a simple and easy way to send in files.  Simply put any file or files in your personal DropBox, and send it quickly with a simply link. Create a link to SHARE your files and send the link by email to Printing and Mailing Services. When you SHARE a DropBox link with us, we can preview and download a copy of your files. If you are sending a PDF file, simply share that single file. If you are sending multiple files, we recommend you put all the files into a single folder, compress that folder (to create a .zip file) and then share that final, single zip file.

CAN I EMAIL YOU MY FILE?

We would prefer you use our simple FILE UPLOAD to send us your file, but we do accept email with file attachments. If your final PDF file is less than 10 MB in size, you may attach it to an email to your Printing and Mailing contact person.

WHAT DO I DO IF MY FILE(S) ARE LARGER THAN 32 MB?

We have a special server with a shared folder called FileDrop. If you are on campus, you can access FileDrop directly and put your files into a folder on the server. Set up your computer with the following instructions ( Mac FileDrop Guide    or    Windows FileDrop Guide ) and you will be able to easily drop your files into the folder.

CAN I PLACE AN ORDER AND HAVE MY GRAPHIC DESIGNER UPLOAD MY FILES SEPARATELY?

Of course you can! Simply place the order and write down the job number. Give the job number to your designer along with a link to our FILE UPLOAD page and you designer can send us the files for the project. It is important that they put the order number when sending files so that we can match their files to your order.
